Fiesta!

The last night in Oaxaca, we had a big fiesta with all the students and families that participated in the program. All the host-moms made some food for a pot-luck type dinner. We had a graduation-type ceremony then broke some pinatas. To end the night we listened to music and I danced with my host family!

Night out on the town

The second to last night we were in Oaxaca as a group, we went to the gato loco (crazy cat). It was a club in downtown Oaxaca. We went dancing and hung out with some of our Oaxacan friends.

Presentation of ISPs and hanging with friends

For the last few days, we presented our projects in front of the group and were able to spend some time as a group. Here are some pictures of all of us together during the presentations and also just hanging out.

Pictures of Downtown Oaxaca during Christmas

For the last few weeks, the city of Oaxaca decorated the zocalo with poinsettias. The whole square was decorated with red and there were some poinsettia trees (wire towerings with poinsettias stacked on them. Also there was a big lighted and decorated tree close to the city building. There was also a large nativity scene.
